Awesome Product, Love It – Nikon Coolpix L22 Digital Camera Review

When we visited a water park, on one of the slides, it flew out of my pocket.

This camera has got to be the most unintuitive point and shoot I’ve ever seen or used. I don’t even care about the image quality, even if it were outstanding, the interface and poor design would steer me away. We took it in the pool the next day and noticed it had water in the battery compartment, even with the latch set to lock. Luckily we went back to the room and I had one day left to request a return with Amazon, and since it’s defective they paid the return shipping.

Most of the pictures come blurry and the color of the pictures is greyish. The flash is very poor. The down load of photos and movies was difficult and would not mate with the PC documents files. The battery time was OK and the photos were good. With much research and review reading, we decided to get this camera. Over the past month it has performed just as good, if not better than our old one. It survived a fall off the car hood @ 20 mph and worked. So I was excited to upgrade to this model for a recent Honduras trip. My husband hands it to me and it is extremely warm. I try to shut it off and it won’t shut off. The camera work wonderfully. I took it snorkeling twice and love the pictures and video I got. Those who rated 5 stars pointed to the 1 star reviewers and said they were not paying attention to the actual features, or ‘learning’ how to use it properly. Within 10 minutes of just ‘playing around’ I found how to change turn off the immediate preview, and change the shutter speed from normal to ‘sequential’ to ‘high sequential’.

The ‘manual’ is stored in the camera, which was new to me, but it wasn’t difficult to figure out. All in all, I like that better because it saves resources, as well as the added benefit of a ‘tutorial’ scenario where the user can practice different shooting modes and methods, etc.

Phone is now dead as disco and the return labels have already been printed. That’s too bad too, because I was very happy with the quality of the pictures and really liked the thought of shooting pictures under water. It takes super clear pictures and great video. Learn how to use some of the settings and you’ll have a great camera. Anyway, I waited hoped it would work after drying out. Then LCD screen would constantly turn on and off.

I took it to my daughter’s Christmas concert. My husband took pictures and the camera would not shut off.

I haven’t yet, as I decided to see if it will grow on me. GIRLS SLEEPING BAGS.

Fantastic Investment – Olympus Waterproof Digital Camera Critique

The 6020 is the perfect camera to carry during kayaking. I don’t have to worry about ruining it if it gets wet.

The ‘manual’ is stored in the camera, which was new to me, but it wasn’t difficult to figure out. All in all, I like that better because it saves resources, as well as the added benefit of a ‘tutorial’ scenario where the user can practice different shooting modes and methods, etc.

Well, I’ve seen the results and they are fabulous! She was a little leery of taking that first underwater shot but has taken some fantastic pictures.

Also, the pictures are great quality and crisp. I use it a lot on cars, and the detail is great.

This is by far one of the toughest little cameras I have ever seen. I recommend it and to those of you who have had issues with yours, consider sending them back for a replacement. I highly recommend buying this camera if you want quality underwater pictures. Be sure to wipe/blow the water drops off of the lens after bringing it above water or you WILL have water spots on parts of your pictures. I’m so frustrated with this camera. We bought it because we live in a tropical area and go to the beach a couple times a week.

The biggest issue for me – the internal lenses fogged, leaving me photo impaired for the remainder of a vacation in Central America. I will not buy another Olympus. Definitely look forward to buying from seller again! You had better be a mind reader to figure out how to operate it. Great price and I like the color choice I made. Highly recommend this camera for the adventurous. Just my 2 cents! We ordered this through Amazon but they fulfilled it for Beach Camera.

I guess it’s just a sacrifice for a more durable screen. This is what I wanted for backpacking, hunting and fishing when you can’t always count on the weather here in MT. I could have not asked for a better camera for my wife. She dropped it twice the first day. So far I have used this camera to shoot pictures at monster truck rallies, a welcome home ceremony when a dear friend came back from Afghanistan ( got a great video of his family running to hug him), Washington, DC when we visited the museums, and the pool. I am very happy with my camera.

I was very happy with my old camera, so decided to replace it with the current mode. The Olympus 6020 seemed to fit the bill and came with a few new features.

The pictures come out great, as long as you have all the right settings. george foreman outdoor electric grill.

Don’t Buy Online Before You Try – Canon Sx120 Digital Camera Review

It uses a standard SD card. The old version used a smaller version which meant I couldn’t swap them out with other cameras (yes, we own several different digital cameras.) The camera is pretty great. The night pictures are pretty good also, but you have to be sure to turn off the flash manually sometimes, otherwise you can’t see anything. One thing that I do have to warn about though is that pictures always look blurry on the camera screen, so at first you might want to take a few pictures of the same thing, but I promise that they always turn out great when viewing on a larger screen. You decide if you want to pay more for fancy stuff. Good pick if you want an affordable, waterproof, backup camera.

We took it in the pool the next day and noticed it had water in the battery compartment, even with the latch set to lock. Luckily we went back to the room and I had one day left to request a return with Amazon, and since it’s defective they paid the return shipping.

So I purchased another one in May 2011 and it worked great for a couple of weeks. But the first time I took it into the water (a swimming pool), it had problems again. At close out last year prices an adequate choice. As a point and shoot for normal conditions, look elsewhere.

Many families were asking about it and after my friends saw what it did they went out and purchased them for themselves as well. Of course I am the only one with a bright pink camera. I left the water and dried off the camera and discovered that salt water had gotten in to the battery compartment and shorted everything out. The other camera had survived the fall from the car, grade IV whitewater inside and outside my life vest and multiple underwater uses. Also, the pictures are great quality and crisp. I use it a lot on cars, and the detail is great.

Once I removed and reinserted the battery, the pictures would come out clear again. I was very disappointed and did not even attempt an underwater shot. Changing between the different modes on the camera is fast and easy, and all the settings for that mode are right on the same screen, so it’s so easy to quickly adjust a setting if you needed to. It’s a great little camera to have! I am now about to go and buy a new camera, feeling sorry for my Mum for wasting her money! I bought this for my daughter’s birthday.

This is my first digital camera and I took it backpacking at Shenandoah on the Appalachian Trail. I found it pretty easy to use overall and dependable. The picture quality is terrible. I spent days trying all possible combinations of quality/speed/lighting settings, but the colors always come out unforgivably washed.

The flash overexposes every picture and the ones that are exposed correctly the color is way off. If I was using this purely for snorkeling it would be great but I need something that looks good above the water as well.

It’s my second one and now, with the addition of high-def video, I really can’t say anything negative about the Stylus Tough 6020 underwater video! office coffee machine rental.

Just Okay – Discount Digital Camera Review

Changing between the different modes on the camera is fast and easy, and all the settings for that mode are right on the same screen, so it’s so easy to quickly adjust a setting if you needed to. It’s a great little camera to have!

Rinsed off the saltwater and took it to the mountains for the long shots. It is small enough for a pocket and great for hiking and backpacking – no worries on dropping.

I bought this camera just for Kayaking. It takes quality photos and is very simple to use.

I haven’t pushed the camera to the specification limits that the product pushes. But I am impressed. Also the pictures always seemed to turn out blurry; I’d have to take several pictures of the same frame to get a good one. I tried every setting and always ended up with the same result. Probably seven out of ten pictures are terrible. I consider myself pretty knowledgeable in picture taking and I have tried changing all the functions and nothing improves the quality.

The screen is full of water. I am over it. Videos on the other hand are pretty horrible compared my other point shoot Cannon SD780 IS. The videos are maybe acceptable to You Tube but certainly not for a larger screen.

Hey, if you have it on macro, of course the picture will be blurry, if you’re taking a picture of the sunset…learn how the camera works before giving it a horrible review. The pictures come out great, as long as you have all the right settings. I look forward to seeing how well it takes pictures underwater and will be trying this feature later next month I don’t think I have ever used a point and click camera that does such a great job with the focus and images being so crisp as well. If you are looking for a great little camera that you don’t need a PHD to use I’ve gone through many cameras over the years and I absolutely love this one! There are three options for the push to shoot button. There is one photo per click. Admittedly, I have not tried this one underwater even though I’ve had it for a year now, but I do take it with me to concerts, friends’ sporting events, etc. Sometimes I get amazing photos, but other times they come out blurry (especially in low light). It also has incredible lag time from when you hit the button to take a photo & when it actually decides to go ahead & shoot. This is highly frustrating because you end up missing tons of moments you’ll never get back (such as your friends getting married).

So, save your money and either buy another brand or just rent an underwater camera at one of the drive shops. When I got the camera in the mail I took it with me on a fishing trip. Dark photos with a flash do not look all that spectacular but still have great detail, but what do you expect, eh” My one qualm is the USB cable.

I also love how easy this camera is to use- my dad bought the new Canon underwater camera for our California trip, and he spent the better portion of every killer moment trying to adjust his settings or figure out which button to push. FILM NEGATIVE SCANNER REVIEWS.

Perfect For My Needs – High Speed Digital Camera Critique

Videos on the other hand are pretty horrible compared my other point shoot Cannon SD780 IS. The videos are maybe acceptable to You Tube but certainly not for a larger screen. I am now about to go and buy a new camera, feeling sorry for my Mum for wasting her money! I bought this for my daughter’s birthday. This camera has a blade type shutter cover over the lens that slips behind the body on operation and is quite clunky. The camera never went deeper than 3 feet and I actually saw it fail – bubbles coming out around the camera lens. It was 2-3X the price of other point and shoot cameras without the ruggedized features. The 720p HD video looks awesome, especially on your HD TV. No issues with this camera.

The LED is amazing. These modes would be great for engagement rings, baby feet and fingers, and pretty much everything. I suggest taking the time to read the manual and follow it.

I went to Florida for a while and was using a Canon. It was ok but definitely not waterproof! It does not have the zoom capabilities as some other cameras.

I gave it 4 stars because of omitted support materials. Really nice camera, I bought it for my brother in law. Although I have retired that particular camera from active duty, it is still in use today with my youngest using it for school projects and such. I have purchased two others since then, both 10 MP models and they are performing flawlessly.

It is simple to use (logical menus really help), takes great pictures, and best of all it is armored. There aren’t any parts that stick out to get sand in, and when not in use it protects the lens with a cover. The biggest issue for me – the internal lenses fogged, leaving me photo impaired for the remainder of a vacation in Central America. I will not buy another Olympus.

I love all the scene options, especially panorama. The menu is easy to understand and the screen is huge, which is great. I love how the camera is very durable and can be taken underwater. Was a fun and new experience with this camera and I would recommend it to everyone!

This tells me that the camera will most likely fail within a couple of years due to water leaking into the seals already. low carb recipes free.

Fantastic Item – Digital Camera With Viewfinder Critique

This camera worked only once half through my Maui vacation. Took some great pictures and videos in the water then suddenly would not turn on after I shoot some pictures in the water.

Called the company and a reputable camera store and both said that once the circuit board gets wet, it needs to be replaced at a cost of at least $150. The company also recommends that it be sent in to have the seal replaced annual at the cost to the consumer. I love it so much! I like the panoramic feature of the camera and the multi shot capabilities.

All I have to do now is wait for my little Cannon Powershot to kick the bucket, Ok so I did some shopping around before I decided on this camera because my old camera broke. Though this camera was more expensive than some of the other camera’s I looked at, I chose this one for a couple of reason’s over the others: 1. Hey, if you have it on macro, of course the picture will be blurry, if you’re taking a picture of the sunset…learn how the camera works before giving it a horrible review. The pictures come out great, as long as you have all the right settings. This is a simple mechanism but it appears that Olympus made is worse so that the customer would purchase the more expensive camera. As you can figure from the above, the issue that I had with the camera is that once it was brought into the water, it leaked and was destroyed. This camera takes decent pictures during the day when there is plenty of light available. I would say the picture quality is decent, but isn’t the best. Feature rich (any mode you realistically need, even a beauty mode) Easy menus Short battery life Zoom is somewhat limited (because of the waterproof case) I have been a big fan of the tough series. I have owned several versions of them.

Excellent qualify, ease of use with intuitive controls and great pictures. The tap control is very handy when wearing gloves under water.

It improves on the Stylus-tough 3000 series in a couple of great ways, solving many of the problems that the 3000 series had. I loved my 3000: even for its faults it still was great to have an ultra-portable, durable camera wherever I am.

The quality of the video and photos was much better than expected…we ended up leaving the DSLR in our room most of the trip. We use this camera for our vacations.

It makes it hard to take a bad picture. I did drop it already but have no problems so the tough and shock proof are the real deal.

If you don’t read the instructions, you have nothing to complain about as other reviewers have. This camera takes awesome photos. I always use the ‘lock’ on the side and rinse it in fresh water after taking it in the ocean so I’m not sure how water keeps getting in the battery compartment, but it does. I sent it in the first time and they fixed it, but this time it’s been exactly a year so I’m not sure what I’ll do.

If you read the manual on it and learn the Canon beforehand it’s a pretty cool camera, but personally when I’m in the heat of the moment for an awesome shot I don’t want to be fiddling with buttons and trying to remember how to get to whatever setting I need. Electric Recliner Chairs.

Who Says This Doesn’t Work? – Canon Waterproof Digital Camera Critique

He more than likely put the card in before he hooked the camera up to his computer. By the way, make sure you hook the camera up to your computer BEFORE you put your memory card in. It’s a little slow at navigating the different scenes and functions, but it’s been improving with time. I love how I can drop this camera (super clumsy) and know it will be okay!

The biggest issues I had were with the awful picture quality, the panorama being difficult to operate, and not being able to control settings such as image size. The user manual was NOT helpful, except to tell me that I couldn’t change the settings I wanted to change. I’m guessing it allows the camera to charge more quickly. So my advice is to get a small case that allows you to ALWAYS have that cable with you. This was my 6th Olympus camera. I have been a fan of the cameras ease and durability. After some basic research for a camera to be used solely for vacations to tropical locations, I settled on the Olympus Tough 6020 camera. I was sold on the features of the camera, particularly the ability shoot pictures and video under water.

Mine got water damage within the first week from being used in a pool, 5ft deep at the deepest point. My girlfriend’s camera received water damage within two weeks from being splashed in the surf.

I would recommend this camera but not for everyday use, then I would get something more complex. If you are a photographer this is not the camera for you.

Olympus strap float orange I was attracted to this camera because it has waterproof and shock proof. I got this for my daughter and takes video of her in the swimming lesson.

I ended up returning it and buying a Nikon s8100 for about the same price. The pic and video/audio quality is fine and I’m happy with it. I don’t want to connect it to a PC so leave me alone. Just take the pictures like you are supposed to.

I also really like the rechargeable battery; just like my cell phone it charges as I have it plugged in to the USB port. I think it will pay for itself just in the battery savings alone. I had to take the battery out in order for it to shut off. Just printed out the return forms, this camera is going back. All worked great! I love that I can zoom in while taking video under water, and the pictures and video are sharp and clear! What is the real difference between; “Automatically optimizes the camera’s settings based on the shooting situation” and “The camera is set automatically based on the scene.” There are 11 scene modes and 21 sub-scene modes.

The best feature I have used so far is the panoramic view and how easy it is to use and how it leaves part of the last frame on there so you can line it up just right. BIKE RACK GARAGE STORAGE.

Great Item Overall – Underwater Digital Camera Review

Managed to pick it out with a fine wire and it is still working OK. Not a good design. This is by far one of the toughest little cameras I have ever seen. I recommend it and to those of you who have had issues with yours, consider sending them back for a replacement.

We use them skiing, surfing, sailing as well as the usual activities. Since it was a gift, I bought the bundled memory and case with it.

And more than one photo per click. So far I have used this camera to shoot pictures at monster truck rallies, a welcome home ceremony when a dear friend came back from Afghanistan ( got a great video of his family running to hug him), Washington, DC when we visited the museums, and the pool. I am very happy with my camera.

However, I needed a waterproof camera for work, and this ended up being the only one available immediately in town. I am glad it was. There goes a few seconds wasted trying to get the camera to start taking pictures. Overall it’s a good camera and for the price, you can’t beat it.

To get a quality shot it I feel like you have to select the correct camera setting first, which just adds time and annoyance. I’ve been using Canon Powershots the past 10 years and this camera doesn’t even compare to the Canon’s point and shoot capability. I would have to return to the hotel to charge or not take any afternoon / night pictures. The camera would also stop focusing and the pictures came out blurry. You only have to be a few inches away for it to focus. There are many different options with this camera. There is a funny sound emitted on playback. I read a review of the 8010 and it had the same issue. I loved the camera before it failed, but the waterproofing was reason I bought it. When that failed, it became pure crap.

I’m guessing it allows the camera to charge more quickly. So my advice is to get a small case that allows you to ALWAYS have that cable with you.

Operation is aggravating. My wife and I saw this camera in Best Buy and she really liked it. It took acceptable photos in the pool and on a couple of snorkeling excursions. I’ve since used it on hiking trips when rain is expected and getting near waterfalls.

With my other cameras I would never have use the software that came with it, but on this one I will. Best Puppy Food Brand.

Take A Look At This – Vivitar Digital Camera Critique

It was just past the one year warrantee. It is ruined and has not successfully dried out. I was constantly trying to figure out how to change them and often would give up and go for the automatic–which never was very good. I finally started taking them in automatic and changing the lighting and such in a computer editing program.

Well, I’ve seen the results and they are fabulous! She was a little leery of taking that first underwater shot but has taken some fantastic pictures. Pictures were dark, shutter speed slow…the first day. I thought let me give it a chance and play around with it. Because I am out in all sorts of weather I need the waterproof feature and the drop proof ruggedness. It also acts as a backup for when I’m out with my full size camera and something goes wrong with it. I will be returning it. If you’re looking for a camera to wear while you’re floating the river or swimming in a pool/lake/ocean then this is it.

I have a 14GB-Class-10 memory card installed. Class-10 is the fastest card there is.

The camera is the slowest when taking multiple pictures in a row with the flash. The flash does take some time to recharge, but I don’t think this is a big issue.

It was extremely frustrating. The settings were also not intuitive.

Not a single problem with this one, beautiful pictures! I was considering purchasing this camera for personal use but was turned off by the reviews. Thankfully the seller — Beach Camera Company — authorized a return for full refund.

It’s likely the two “hates” that I listed were indications of a defective camera. The SEVEN items that I listed above that are reasons enough that I would not recommend the camera to anyone. The price was excellent, and the camera is made for its purpose. If I want more fancy stuff I can use my other Cannon Rebel XS. I recently bought the Panasonic Lumix Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS2 14.1 MP Waterproof Digital Camera for traveling, and will get my daughter the same. It is solid, well made and works great. Dark photos with a flash do not look all that spectacular but still have great detail, but what do you expect, eh” My one qualm is the USB cable.

A major reason, the major reason I bought it instead of another standard point and shoot was for the ruggedized features: shock and water proof to 16 feet. Sell Guitars.

An Ideal Solution For Me – Digital Camera With Viewfinder Critique

I read all of the reviews and no one mentioned the horrible sound quality. It sounds like the camera was under water.

This camera has got to be the most unintuitive point and shoot I’ve ever seen or used. I don’t even care about the image quality, even if it were outstanding, the interface and poor design would steer me away. Water got in the camera and damaged it. I would suggest buying a different brand if you want to use it for underwater pictures.

The general close-up mode will use a flash, and I’ve found it works fine to leave it on when taking regular pictures as well. The super close-up does not allow you to use a flash, but it can take closer pictures. The pictures I have taken both indoors and outdoors are clear not grainy and the HD video is awesome. This camera even has sound when previewing your vids from camera, which I love since my Kodak didn’t. It’s the firmware in the camera and it is already there. More than you can shake a tripod at. It starts with “plug the camera into a computer and load the software” – what software” There is none! I guess it’s just a sacrifice for a more durable screen. This is what I wanted for backpacking, hunting and fishing when you can’t always count on the weather here in MT. Then he showed us that he could step on it, and drop it from a certain height, and it would remain in good condition. The thing that really got me interested was that it was waterproof. It is waterproof up to 16 feet and shockproof as well. An awesome buy!

All worked great! I love that I can zoom in while taking video under water, and the pictures and video are sharp and clear!

I’ll be posting some pictures that I took with this camera, so that you can see the quality yourself. Back in 2006 I started carrying one of the original Olympus Tough 7 MP cameras with me in Iraq. The camera takes mediocre pictures. The day date has to be set every time the battery is changed. This camera is very easy to use with an easy set-up. I have not tried it under water yet but with this camera I’m not scared to let my little children run around taking picture with a fear of them dropping and breaking my camera.

There is a funny sound emitted on playback. I read a review of the 8010 and it had the same issue.

I ended up returning it and buying a Nikon s8100 for about the same price. ottoman bed.
